RV Adventure! Day Seventeen!

Woke up in Mammoth!
Took the scenic Gondola ride up to the top of the mountain. Looked a LOT different without all the snow!

Before making the journey home, we stopped by Laws Museum and saw all the trains and old tractors!

There we are, can you see us??

RV Adventure! Day Sixteen!

On the road again!  This time we're headed SOUTH!!!
Off to MAMMOTH!!!!! On our way to Mammoth we made an impromptu stop at Bodie, a ghost town. The boys had a lot of fun looking in the old houses, sitting in the old outhouses! HA! we even saw a bunny rabbit! Once we pointed out the glass on the ground to Jake (who was wearing flip flops) so he'd be careful not to step on it and from then on, he pointed out all the glass he saw... "nother one gwass!"
Then off to Mammoth! We stopped by our favorite Pizza restaurant, Giovanni's, and picked up a pizza before heading to our campsite for the night.

Thought I'd show a bit of "family life".  Here's: Bed time in the RV.
Mark and Jake are reading their stories and Daddy is working at his "desk".  I was probably doing the dishes or something (well, at least, before taking the picture of course)

RV Adventure! Day Fifteen!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY!!!!!
Neil's Birthday today! Unfortunately he still has the flu.
Opened up presents in the morning then took some time to drive around Incline Village a little bit, then headed to the Beach! Last day in Tahoe, sad, we had such fun here.
After the beach we went back "home" and I walked next door to pick up a pizza. Took a little detour and got a slice of pecan pie and we all sung "Happy Birthday" to Daddy.

RV Adventure! Day Fourteen!

Unfortunately Neil woke up this morning not feeling well. I took the boys across the street to the beach while Neil took a nap and then he met us there later for a bit. It was a nice slow day, well... not so nice for Neil who had the flu, but you know what I mean....

Jake slept on the couch that folds out into a bed

Mark slept "upstairs"

Water at the Lake was shallow pretty far out,
that's Mark way out there in the black shirt

Jake wearing his "sun gwasses"

Daddy and Mark in the water

Eric sure does love the water!

Naptime after a fun afternoon at the beach

CUTE!

RV Adventure! Day Thirteen!

Today was a BIG DAY!!! Lots of fun to be had in Tahoe and we did a lot of it!
Started off the day with a drive to Squaw Valley. We stopped at a park there and the boys had fun playing in the "kitchen" feeding Daddy food, swinging and climbing everything. From there we stopped on the side of the road where we hiked down to the Truckee River (I use the word "hike" loosely, it's not like a mountain but we did go down) where the boys threw "boats" (sticks, leaves, pine cones...) into the water and watched them race away. After that we drove half way around the lake, the boys were napping in the car, so we took highway 50 up to my Grandparents old cabin. No one was home so Neil took my picture on the porch.
We drove back to the Lake (South shore) and rented a boat for the evening (Yeah! I KNOW! pretty cool huh?) Neil drove us out to Emerald Bay (see pics from day .... I dont know, a few days ago) and we stopped to have dinner (sub sandwiches) while Eric slept on the floor of the boat. The boys were a bit hesitant at first but in no time both were driving. Mark did most of the driving (and a LOT of horn honking!) and both he and Neil got in the Lake while Jake flew he flag warning other boaters (though Mark never left the comfort of the ladder, Daddy swam around the boat a few times). Driving back to North Shore we drive through a tunnel (the MUCH anticipated tunnel!) Per Jakes request Daddy did a U-Turn and we ended up going through the tunnel THREE TIMES!!
It was a GREAT day!
